5-WEEK SCHOOL PILOT PROGRAM

Start with a pilot you can
actually evaluate.

Test OnliGrow with a single cohort of 30–60 students. Structured around a sample 1 period per week model, designed to fit around board-exam preparation, turnkey teacher rubrics, and complete leadership visibility before any expansion decision.

Scope first · Measure honestly · Expand only on reviewable evidence
30–60 Students
Single grade cohort (Grade 8, 9, or 10)

Start with an isolated, manageable cohort to validate operational fit before considering wider school rollout.

1 Period / Week (Sample)
Fits into Activity or Lab slots

Designed to fit around academic board syllabi and revision windows, with no home assignment burden.

~4 Mins / Student (Est.)
Illustrative teacher review load

Turnkey 4-level rubrics streamline faculty evaluation, structuring clear, objective grading criteria.

PILOT PREREQUISITES

What makes an ideal pilot cohort?

We recommend starting focused and proving value before any school-wide deployment. Here are the standard requirements for a successful 5-week trial.

Cohort Sizing

Ideal size is 30 to 60 students from Grade 8, 9, or 10. Allows intimate faculty facilitation and statistically meaningful rubric distribution.

Lab / Device Access

Access to a school computer lab, tablets, or student personal laptops for one 45-minute period each week during sprint hours.

Lead Faculty Coordinator

One designated teacher (Computer Science, Science, or Activity Lead) who receives turnkey training and oversees weekly student check-ins.

Scheduled Defense Window

A scheduled 2-hour window in Week 4 where students present their working capstones during normal school hours or intercession.

DAY-BY-DAY ROADMAP

The 5-Week Pilot Sprint Architecture

Structured week-by-week so academic coordinators know exactly what students build, when teachers evaluate, and how outcomes are compiled.

Week 01

Baseline Diagnostic & Track Onboarding

Curiosity Discovery & Benchmark
Weekly Sprint Activities:
  • Administer exploratory baseline diagnostic during orientation
  • Students select multidisciplinary sprint tracks (CleanTech, AI Ethics, Civic Systems)
  • Set up student digital portfolio profiles and initial goal statements
Verifiable Output:
Sample Baseline Diagnostic Profile
Week 02

Problem Decomposition & Prototyping

Active Building & Code/Logic
Weekly Sprint Activities:
  • Students break chosen challenge into modular, testable units
  • Draft first working simulation, sensor data script, or analytical model
  • Peer review check-in using standardized feedback prompts
Verifiable Output:
Working Prototype Draft & Repo Link
Week 03

Iteration & Mentor Refinement

Debugging & Constraint Testing
Weekly Sprint Activities:
  • Run simulation trials and identify edge-case bugs or data outliers
  • Incorporate facilitator feedback to refine solution methodology
  • Document learning reflections and technical trade-offs in portfolio
Verifiable Output:
Refined Deliverable & Reflection Log
Week 04

Capstone Oral Defense

Live Technical Presentation
Weekly Sprint Activities:
  • 10-minute student presentation before educators and peers
  • 5-minute structured Q&A defending methodology and data choices
  • Faculty completes turnkey 4-level rubric attached to digital dossier
Verifiable Output:
Scored Capstone Defense Record
Week 05

Leadership Review & Synthesis

Institutional Evidence & Next Steps
Weekly Sprint Activities:

OPERATIONAL CLARITY

Division of Responsibilities

Clear boundaries ensure operational clarity. Here is how responsibilities are divided between OnliGrow and your school during a pilot.

Operational AreaWhat OnliGrow DeliversWhat School Provides
Curriculum & Sprint MaterialsTurnkey project prompt decks, video tutorials, and interactive student consolesNo content creation required; faculty simply facilitates student self-pacing
Timetable & VenueAsynchronous student access with flexible milestone deadlinesAllocates 1 scheduled period per week in existing computer lab or classroom
Evaluation & RubricsAutomated 4-level rubric scoring templates with standardized behavioral anchorsFaculty evaluates oral defense presentations (illustrative assumption: ~4 mins per student deliverable)
Leadership ReportingGenerates aggregated cohort attainment data, digital dossiers, and parent exportsReviews objective pilot outcomes to inform broader school academic planning
